Pears Wearings Scarves

Something new for the upcoming winter/holidays! Pears wearing scarves! The set above was the first set I made, and the set below is made of slightly different colors of felt. I also made 4 sets of the pears below, while the above set is a single set.
I hope everyone will embrace pears for this upcoming winter season! Especially since they come so smartly dressed!

Jellyfish!

This is a wool felt jellyfish that I made. He has silver and purple beads on his head, and a wire supporting him. He stands all on his own, and his tentacles are all orange, grey, and purple.

Paper Feather

Here's a feather that I made out of paper. There's wire in the middle, and it's 2-sided. I'd like to make more and see what comes of it...

My Space

This is the space I use for a lot of my crafting. It's a little cluttered right now, but usually very organized, I promise! :) The cord hanging across the top I hang some of my favorite things from: a doily I crocheted, a piece of paper with a beautiful poppy print, and an i-cord of silk yarn that I knitted. I wish I could devote a whole room to crafting, and someday I will have it! (You know, when I'm a millionaire and have a whole extra suite in my castle to devote to crafting.... :D)

Ornament Love

Here's a couple of ornaments that I've made in the past few days. The one on the left is an embroidered hedgehog, with a balloon and a heart! He's a gift for my mom. The one on the right is a kitty with a heart. He's going in my shop.

This is one of the pears that I've made. He's plump and plush! I love pears. Right now I'm working on sets of pear ornaments for Christmas.

Charlie Garland

Charlie makes a pretty good background for this yarn and felt party garland, huh? :)

Seagleam Joins the Pack

This is Seagleam, my newest dragon to join the pack! He's blue and tan, and I love the way his wings turned out. Want to see a picture of his belly?

All that scale pattern is hand embroidered, freehand! I love doing stuff like that, especially when it turns out looking pretty cool.

Now here's all four of my dragons! Their names are Abraxis, Seagleam, Cawthorne, and Basque.

Crimson Clock

This is a wood box that I decoupaged and decorated! I like the antique look of the paper that I used, and the bright spots of crimson that accent the box. The inside is lined with crushed black velvet and a red trim. The top has a metal frame with a bird, and inside the frame is a red clock. Acorns, trees, and leaves are scattered about the box. It will soon be listed on my etsy page, I think. :)

Dragon in Progress

After I cut out the body pieces, I start to sew them together. The ears get sandwiched in when I sew the top of the head on. the back gets done, but the tummy piece doesn't get added in until it's all finished. The wings and the stomachs are the pieces that get the most embroidery/additions. Then the stomach is stitched on, then the wings and eyes are added! This guy is still in progress. I'll post a picture when he's done.

Peacock Dragon

This is the first dragon that I made. I cut his pattern out completely by hand and pretty much made him up as I went along. The color scheme that I was trying to go for was "peacock," but it was hard because I was trying to use just 2 main colors. He is all hand sewn and hand embroidered, and his wings turned out particularly well. His wings also have wire in them so that they're poseable. His stomach is studded with rivets, and I love his curly horns! He's available on my etsy site.

Embroidered Slug

This is Slyme. He's a one-of-a-kind creature, a slug that I hand embroidered and decorated. He's 4.5 inches long. He's made with wool felt, and I just cut him out of the felt without a pattern. There will never be another one exactly like him. I don't like using patterns most of the time, because I end up altering what I've cut out as I go along anyway.
I like his lazy eyes, the way he looks at the world. He has undulating side flaps that have tiny glass beads glued on. He's alert, but not concerned about what's going on around him. I love animals, and they're the inspiration for what I make. He's available on my etsy site.
The next creature that I make, I'll add more pictures of the process instead of just a final picture. :)
